Courses or Assignments Not Showing Up for Students

Publishing Canvas Courses:

A common issue for Canvas instructors is creating an assignment or even an entire course for students and nothing will show up on their end.

In most cases, this issue is due to materials being saved but not published. On the right side of your screen, at the top of the page, you might see this:

If this is the course or assignment status you're seeing, this means that Canvas assumes that this is still a draft.

The solution is to simply press the ✔️Publish button which will change this set of icons to the following:

Once published, the content should be visible to any students in the class.
