WARNING: Android 11 is notoriously difficult to get connected to BYOD.

Some phones require a certificate to validate connecting to the BYOD network. The certificate is located on our website:

Every phone is different. Download the certificate and follow your phones instructions for installing it.

Instructions for connecting to GCS-BYOD

Step 1:  Using your WiFi Settings, connect to GCS-BYOD.

Step 2:  Verify that EAP method is PEAP

Step 3:  For Phase 2 authentication, you need “MSCHAPV2

Step 4:  If it asks for Domain, you need goshenschools.org

  • If that fails you may need to try GOSHENSCHOOLS or GOSHENSCHOOLS.ORG
  • Capitalization matters

Step 5:  Verify that CA certificate is Unspecified or Do Not Validate

  • Android 11 users: Your phone may require the certificate file. Follow your phone's instructions for installing from the link located at the top of the instructions. Then select the certificate under CA Certificate that you just installed.

Step 6:  Enter your Username and Password

  • Identity needs to be username
    • If that fails and there is no entry for "Domain" you may need to try GOSHENSCHOOLS\username
  • Anonymous Identity is not used.
  • Enter your password under Password.

Step 7: Connect
